If you’re looking for the best low cost health insurance plan you can easily find it in today’s marketplace. In some, but not all, cases it may depend on how much you’re willing to risk. The cost can vary from state to state, no matter if it’s California, Texas, Florida or any other state, but there are some things to consider when paying less or getting cheaper health insurance whether it’s an individual, group or family plan.
I’ll cover a few tips here. You can get the very best coverage without having to pay the highest price.
First of all you’ll want to do some thorough research. If you’re adamant about keeping your favorite doctor, first of all check with his/her office to see what health insurance plans he/she accepts.
Ask your friends, co-workers and other acquaintances what health insurance providers they are with and what experiences they’ve had both good and bad. This is important because you’ll likely hear some experiences you would have never known about without asking. This can give you a good picture of the insurance company. So make sure to get testimonials to avoid signing up with the wrong insurer.
When you connect with a health insurance agent make sure to ask about all the discounts that are available. Your agent may assume that you’re not eligible for some of them so make sure to have he/she tell you about all of the discounts It’s not uncommon to find a discount that you were totally unaware of. Ask about maternity benefits if that is going to be in your future. Also this is coverage that can also be excluded saving you money if you don’t need it.
If you’re one of those people who are seldom ill you may want to sign up for catastrophic health insurance instead. This will cover you for any medical needs or illnesses that come out of the blue. These policies can be very cheap, but deductibles can be as much as $2000. But if you end up with medical bills that total more than $40,000 or so, then the policy will pay off for you. If you have children you’ll want to go with a more comprehensive plan instead.
Although you’re looking for cheap or low cost health insurance you don’t want to make the mistake of making it the only factor. You need to focus on the value of the policy as well. If it does cover everything you need that’s good but you may have to pay a little bit more to get the best coverage for you and your family and still be an affordable health insurance plan.
On a daily basis if you don’t want to pay much in out-of-pocket expenses, then you should choose an HMO plan. This way your cash out-of-pocket expense will mostly be your deductible and your co-pay. But it’s important to remember that the more you’re willing to pay out of pocket, the cheaper your premiums will be.
Sometimes you’ll find some cheap health insurance quote that seems too good to be true. Make sure it includes all the features you need and there is no misunderstanding. Read the fine print.
Make sure to get several low cost health insurance quotes online before you decide. This should take only a few minutes when you do this at a website that allows you to get several quotes at one time. This makes it easy to compare features, policies and price.
Don’t leave it up to your employer or government sponsored plan for your health insurance. It can leave you venerable at the end.

FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage.
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, Cuba, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage.

all you want to do is force all of us to pay into. I want to travel and eat well.
I don’t want to pay for insurance.
this is treason.

The average life span of Americans ranks 20th and 30th in the world. I want to spend my money on good food , travel and if I get sick, I will die. Big deal.
so I live 6-10 years less… At least I will have lived. I will not be a tool of some health care executive. Hospitals should offer their own health insurance.

Len talks about choice and efficiency, both of which are definitely NOT part of the private market for health care financing. In a single payer system you actually get to choose whatever doctor you like, there is absolutely no change to the providers, only to the means by which they are paid. In a single payer system you actually get to choose whatever doctor you want.

I find it hard to believe this is about Health Care at all. The word "mandatory" is always frightening.
To force young, healthy people to pay for health insurance, and let the old and infirm die because of cost sounds like Taxation without benefit.
One could argue this is how they plan to recoup the entirety of the Social Security money that has already been squandered away.
Robbing (Peter/Paul) thing. Pyramid scheme.
There are always hidden (from you) costs.
What "anything" done, in progress, or future thing, performed by the government ever came in on time and at/or under budget?
How many times is this scam going to work on the majority of us. Apparently, just one more, because after this one … it will be all the money there is forever, and you still wont get a pittance of worth.
Single payer.
Any addition or including of INSURANCE Co's will double the cost, and for what? Payback for campaign contributions?
Dead weight, and the straw that breaks the back.

There is so much I desperately want to warn people about the nightmare of Socialized medicine. I know all about it. I'm living the nightmare here in Europe.
The most important things to consider are this:
1) Think your doctor is apathetic and callous now? Ha!! Just wait until medicine is Socialized. He'll probably practice his golf putting while you're still in the examination room. Doctors under Socialized medicine can't care less.
2) Only 15% of Americans don't have adequate or any health insurance. The majority of them can afford it. They choose not to. Look at how many "poor" people have cable tv, drink coffee at Starbucks, have designer clothing, women with expensive hairdos and guys dressed in Fubu and gold chains. It's all a matter of priorities.
3) In all countries with Socialized medicine, you do not get a real appointment. You sit like a chump in a crowded, dirty waiting room with dozens of other hapless souls. So now, besides just paying for Loquitia and her six out-of-wedlock kids, you are forced to sit with the ill-mannered, raucous little brats.
Sound like fun?
Here is an analogy:
When I was young, we belonged to a nice country club with a pool and tennis courts. Membership was limited to 300 families, so it would not get too crowded. Summers were idyllic. We would often go there at 7am for swim lessons, and stay till 10pm, having eaten lunch there, and been joined by our dad who would bring food for us to grill, just as many other families did. It was a real club in the sense that everyone knew each other. Going to the club was the absolute core of our summers.
Then, it got sold to the Park District. They filled in the deep end of the pool so they wouldn't have to worry so much about anyone drowning. The pool was ridiculously crowded, noisy, and unpleasant. Mothers would just drop their kids off and leave. So many unsupervised children made it a nightmare. The place was dirty, and you could never swim laps because it was overrun by so many people.
Now you understand what will happen if private medical care is replaced by Socialized medicine.
Popular reporter John Stossel pointed out that Americans go to the doctor much more often than any other people on the planet, and take way, way more prescription drugs. We are also the fattest country on earth, and Socialized medicine would just be an excuse for people to demand fast, easy cures for their "obesity disease".
So, what do you want? A nice country club, or the nightmare of a dirty, over-crowded public pool?

The USA has the least effective health care system in the industrialized world.
18,000 Americans will die this year simply because they're uninsured.
* According to the Institute of Medicine, "lack of health insurance causes roughly 18,000 unnecessary deaths every year in the United States. Although America leads the world in spending on health care, it is the only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not ensure that all citizens have coverage." Insuring America's Health: Principles and Recommendations, Institute of Medicine, January 2004.

The United States is ranked #37 as a health system by the World Health Organization.
* "The U. S. health system spends a higher portion of its gross domestic product than any other country but ranks 37 out of 191 countries according to its performance, the report finds." "World Health Organization Assesses The World's Health Systems," Press Release, WHO/44, June 21, 2000. http://www.who.int/inf-pr-2000/en/pr2000-44.html

Health CARE is a grossly inappropriate description for the proposed plan for the USSA . Universal Health Health CONTROL is much more accurate! Especially with all the manditory stipulations uttered by presidential John Edwards the other day in Iowa. The government will essentially OWN your body, and like all our other things in our society, it’s a one way street; comply or get fined, handcuffed or go to prison! A pox on the universal health care control!!!!

So, how much are you being paid? Apparently people believe the drivel, how else would you explain Obama and the socialists?
*later*
1. If the health care plan passes, it will be based on and utilize the military's Tricare. Having pointed out this one simple fact, what will you tell those you're trying to enlist to get them to sign the bottom line? Yes, we'll pay you far less than competitive wages, but think of the great benefits! Health Care just like what you currently have!!! And what will you tell all of those who gave up 20+ years to get that "great" health care? Oh geeze. Sorry man. You didn't REALLY have to dedicate 20 years. We'd have given it to you any way! You lose?
2. Just like the Democrat's last atempt at revamping the health care system, anyone remember Hillary's HMO? It cost my father his life. And, he had health insurance prior to her meddling. High quality? Can you say propaganda/pipe dream? The government's track record sucks. Face it, you're spouting garbage with no facts to back up your claims.
3. We'll all save a bunch of money. Man who have you been listening to? The Rev. Jim Jones? The whole reason Obama's health care initiative has stalled is money. Last reports stated that the up front cost was "cost prohibitive." When's the last time the government ever did anything cheaply and better? Remember the $600 hammer? How about the $350 toilet seats and ash trays?
4. It'll always be there for you. Well lets see, Clinton re routed the Social Security funds, now we are in trouble there. The Post office is raising yet again it's postage rates and oh by the way, even with the raised rates, it still doesn't have enough money to make it to the end of the year.
6. Subsidized by the government. Just like all of those folks who were dependent upon their local and state government to evacuate them before Katrina struck. They were all subsidized too. Can you say "slavery reconstituted?" People are not "forced" to go without coverage. They off handedly chose to go without. Call it consequence for life decisions/indecisions.
I'd sooner see the money be spent teaching people how to be better parents so they can then raise better students who will then go on to higher levels of education, better paying jobs and can then afford to purchase the coverage they need just as the rest of us had to.
Did I mention also that the state of Florida offers a government subsidized home owners insurance program? Guess what, the rates are sky rocketing AND, they don't have enough money to cover the policies they've guaranteed.
You've offered up no facts nor any supporting statistics. What you have managed to do, is post propaganda that's not even well thought out.
