There are many ways to find your holiday cheaper, and the internet can help you to find a cheap holiday in or around the destination you want to go. Try and have an open mind – check thoroughly every resort to see if the facilities and accommodation suit you and your needs – and have alternatives!
A lot of the major airline companies offer bargain-basement fares on only some of their seats as an incentive but once these are gone, the price will rise. To take advantage of these, make sure that you sign up to the airline email newsletters and you will have a much better chance as this is where they are first announced.
If you book on-line, then as a rule you will save money as many airlines offer you a discount on ticket prices. However, do be aware of credit card charges. If you can afford it, use a debit card. Check to see how much you would save including charges if you book online rather than over the telephone. You may be lucky and get a last-minute bargain as airlines have to fill empty seats – but don’t expect this on a popular route in peak season.
Be prepared to fly late at night/early in the morning and on certain days of the week.
And check out the child discounts – sometimes, if you book early, child discounts can apply to more than one child. Make sure you add up the total cost for the whole party before booking.
To get cheap holidays check out the flights and the hotel/accommodation separately. Or at least check out the price of the hotel independently. It may be cheaper than through a tour operator.
A good rule of thumb is to shop around for travel insurance – some companies pump up the prices drastically and this impacts upon the final cost.
Make sure you check out the resort you re travelling to carefully, particularly the distance between the airport and the hotel. Do you want to pay for transfers or will a taxi ride be cheaper?
Package holidays are always tailored towards the holiday season but if you have a family and you can persuade the schools, choose the off-season period just before and after the traditional holiday periods and it will work out to be significantly cheaper.

Help answer the question about cheap holiday insurance
How much should I pay in child support?I have a daughter that lives about eighty miles away. I have her on alternate weekends, holidays, and summers. I currently give her mom $200 a month.
I know $200 sounds pretty cheap, but my monthly income is 2500 (I teach) and that's not really all I pay. I pay for her health insurance, I frequently buy her things whenever she's with me (gifts, birthdays, Christmas, and essentials that her mom usually overlooks), birthday and during the summer when I she is with me, I also pay the full cost of day care (which is usually over $400.
Our agreement is not court-ordered, but I am new at this and do not know what I should be paying. I am not trying to dodge paying CS, but I would like to know if getting screwed or not.
Thanks!!!
I meant I pay for daycare for she is with me. She's currently in first grade, so I don't pay when she is with her mom
I know some moms are pretty militant with these kinds of issues, but please take in account the amount of time spent with child
