House Insurance Quotes

To get the best house insurance quotes try using the services of an online broker. Many of these brokers are automated almost completely by software so you get the quotes almost immediately. Sometimes they are emailed to you but other times the calculations are done online and displayed to you.

There are hundreds of sources online from which you can obtain these house insurance quotes (e/” title=”http://cheap-insurance-rates.com/home/” target=”_blank”>http://cheap-insurance-rates.com/home/). It is quite easy to find them by simply typing the phrase “house insurance quotes” into a search engine like Google. You will then be able to simply go from site to site to compare house insurance quotes from each insurance provider.

Usually you do not have to do too much navigating because one broker can do it all by comparing their quotes to all of the other quotes on the internet from the other insurance providers. If the company’s house insurance quotes are especially low they are more than happy to do this.

After you input some information into this broker style websites that specialize in giving you house insurances you usually get an email telling you everything that you need to know in order to compare one offer to and other. You should only be getting the house insurance quotes and not any other type of quote from these companies. If you get other offers for things like credit reports it is possible that the broker is not really a broker but rather some savvy marketing expert gathering information about you to put on a database.

A real provider of house insurance quotes will provide you with a professional break down of what you need to know. You should also have access to a real person if you need help and need to speak to one. It is also customary to get quite a few offers in one email and they should be also prioritized for you as well in the order that they best suit your personal needs with the cheapest house insurance quotes at the top of the list.

You can also easily approach the house insurance provider by phone or email. Many of these sites have live chats that make the whole process immediate and simple. The sign of a good homeowner insurance (http://cheap-insurance-rates.com/home/baltimore.cfm) company or good insurance broker is an instant messenger chat line on their site that is constantly manned. If there is “nobody home” on these chats then you should probably not deal with that site as they might be sloppy with their customer service in other ways as well.

You should also never have to pay or give out personal information in order to get house insurance quotes. Expect to have to answer a brief questionnaire about what your house is made of and what size it is. This is needed for the insurance company so they can gage how much to charge you.

The great thing about using these online insurance sites is that you can usually apply for the insurance on the site and then download the info you need. However in some cases you might simply be mailed a form that you email back.

  1. omg that scared the crap out of me

  2. Autobahn is a name for the freeways in germany and austria

  3. Well…a decent insurance agent should be able to tell you the average replacement cost in your area based upon a price per square foot value. Some companies will even have tools to input data about your home and come up with an estimated replacement cost…although these figures can tend to be out of date. If you want a true cost replacement value, you pretty much have to shell out around $300 for an appraisal or hire a contractor to give you an estimate.

But if your home is of average quality for your community, the figure your agent provides should be pretty good. For example, in my area the average replacement cost is around $175-$200 per square foot. So if you have an average house that is 1500 sq feet, you would probably be looking at $300,000 in coverage. The cost per square foot estimate came directly from our Total Loss Adjusters…their entire job is rebuilding people's burnt down houses. Now, if you have marble countertops and hardwood floors throughout, we'd want to raise that figure accordingly, to maybe $225-$250 per square foot.

Ask a local agent for their input…if they are worth a darn they should have an average estimate for you. If you want a figure based upon your exact house…pay for an appraisal.

    EDIT:

Ignore the person who asked for your purchase price. Purchase price has absolutely no bearing on the replacement cost. Replacement cost is what it would cost to rebuild the house from scratch if it burned to the ground. Purchase price is influenced by many factors that don't impact replacement cost (market conditions, size of the lot, if it's in a desirable neighborhood or not, etc).

  4. If you have had a previous subsidence claim most companys wont touch you with a 10 foot bargepole….There may be repercussions if you have cancelled your existing policy…as they are within their rights to now refuse to take you back under cover..Try a high street insurance broker, he may be able to find a company prepaired to offer cover…but is gonna cost!

    Haaaaa

  6. to wiwijo, the autobahn is a place in gremany where there are no speed limits

  7. It is a little hidden question in the new cost estimator program. Well, the question really has to do with shape, square, rectangle, irregular, very irregular.
The more corners a building has, the more expensive it is to rebuild.
We don't ask, we get measurements from the town & get our own pictures.

  8. Fire protection is a big concern for the insurance companies. The house location and better fire protection will have a lot to do with the cost of insurance.

  9. i think this is funny ass shit! Please tell me that didn’t happen for real?

  10. Honestly, it's impossible to answer your question. First, you really need someone familiar with California rates (at least you did list a general location, which is more than most do when the post here!) — rates vary wildly from state to state (for instance, WV is typically double and sometimes triple the VA rates.)

But aside from that, there's a LOT more to an insurance rate than the size of the lot, the # of bedrooms, and the fact that the house has a pool. You really haven't listed ANYTHING that the company is going to ask with the exception of the fact that a pool exists and there's no fence.

Is the home located inside the city limits, or in a rural area? How far is it to the local fire dept? Is it a volunteer dept, or a full-time one? Are there hydrants within 1,000 feet?

When was it built? How many square feet? Brick, frame, other? What type of heating source does it have? Are there any supplemental heating sources (like fireplaces, etc)? Have there been any prior claims in the property (during the last 5 years)?

And I'm just getting started. The fact is, I need at least 15 pieces of information in order to even give a conditional quote (and about 63 to give a final quote.)

Seriously — you need to make some calls to the local agents. Otherwise, you're likely to end up with incorrect info because your rates can vary wildly depending on any one of those factors.

  11. I recommend speaking with insurance broker who works with several companies and can get you the best price. To find one in your area, log on to a website like http://www.homeownerswiz.com and fill out a form requesting a quote. Good luck!

  12. Ofcourse not, It’s obviously a insurance commercial! But it really is funny as hell:P

  13. No. The person has to have an ownership interest in the property — in other words, you can't insure what you don't own. I'm sorry that it was necessary for you to declare bankruptcy, but this is one of the unpleasant consequences consequences.

  14. Oh fuk that SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

  16. RGR

Google or search House Insurance and go from there

  17. Autobaun = Freeway maybe.
    In germany freeway means “autobaHn”.
    I dont know. xD

  18. Not as reliable as a quote from an agent or company rep; you never know how current the rate books are on the web. As an agent, I had trouble keeping up with just three companies! Someone claiming to quote a dozen companies would have a hard time being current.
